Essay of note in Best American Essays

It is with mixed emotions today that I write this post. I was thinking so much of my daughter today when I heard the news of the recent Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe vs Wade. I thought of an essay I wrote that appeared in The Texas Review years ago, “The Bones: A Letter To My Daughter.” I Googled and discovered that it was an essay of note in Best American Essays 2020, the anthology edited by André Aciman. It seems strange that I missed this, but I can say that the last couple of years were overwhelming so that is probably why. Best American Essays
